Ranne P. Warner
Owner and Developer
Ms. Warner is the owner of Blackstone Exchange, LLC and president of Ranne P. Warner and Company, Inc. and Centros Properties USA. For over 25 years, Ms. Warner has been active in real estate at the local, national, and international levels. She has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate development, consulting, strategic planning, construction, finance, and property management.
In 1980, Ms. Warner founded Centros Properties USA in partnership with two English developers and built the firm's portfolio from $0 to $100 million in value invested in over one-half million square feet of first-quality real estate. She is currently developing the 110,000 sq. ft. former J and K Sales mill in Pawtucket, RI into 60 live/work condominium lofts.
Ms. Warner has been an active member of the Boston preservation community, serving for fifteen years as a Trustee for the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (SPNEA). From 1984 to 1986, she served as President of the Board of Trustees and as Secretary from 1986 to 1990. She is a Director of Historic Boston, a preservation revolving fund, and has been a Trustee for the Boston Foundation for Architecture. She co-authored with her architect husband the book, New Profits from Old Buildings, which was published by McGraw-Hill in 1979.
She is a founder and was the first President of New England Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE), a professional organization for Boston area women in the real estate business. She was also the first woman President of the Boston Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP). In l995 Ms. Warner was the first woman president of the Boston Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). She has served on the BOMA Board of Directors and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board of Directors. She is active in the Urban Land Institute serving as vice chair for programs on the Commercial /Retail Council.
In addition to her real estate work, Ms. Warner has served since its incorporation in l987 as a Director and a member of the Executive Committee of Wainwright Bank and Trust, a Boston-based commercial bank providing retail and private banking services. She also serves as a Trustee of Allmerica Investment Trust, a family of mutual funds owned by Allmerica Financial. Ms. Warner graduated with distinction from the Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri.
